Mexican Military Officials seize 11,720 kilograms of cocaine

Mexico announced one of its biggest seizures ever. The military seized over 11 tons of cocaine, seized 8 vehicles, seized various five firearms & ammunition and arrested 7 people. The seizures and arrests occurred in the city of Tampico in the state of Tamualipas, near the gulf of Mexico.

The following people were arrested:

1. Alberto Diaz Martinez, 42 years old, from Tampico in Tamualipas

2. Juan Manuel Garcia Sancho, 56 years old, from Tuxpan in Veracruz

3. Roberto Javier Reyes Alvarez, 23 years old, from Ciudad Victoria in Tamualipas

4. Jose Guadalupa Villanueva Galvan, 30 years old, from Reynosa in Tamualipas

5. Carlos Cerda Gonzalez, 35 years old, from Tampico in Tamualipas

6. Javier Sanchez Cervantes, 31 years old, from Tampico in Tamualipas

7. Carlos Cortes Hernandez, 37 years old, from Ciudad Madero in Tamualipas
