900 kilograms of Cocaine found insite the bodies of frozen Sharks in Progreso Yucatan Mexico

On June 16, 2009 in the port of Progreso, Yucatan, the Mexican Navy encountered a shipment of cocaine that was being inside frozen sharks.  The vessel “Dover Strait” was in route to Houston, Texas from Costa Rica.  Navy officials check the cargo with x-ray equipment and the help of Narcotic detector dogs when they found the cocaine.  There were 97 frozen sharks in which each contained between six and eight packages of cocaine.  There were a total of 870 packages of cocaine removed from the sharks with a total weight of 900 kilograms of cocaine.  With the discovery of this shipment of drug the Mexican Navy will now be inspecting more cargo ships
