Missouri State Troopers seize 26 kilos from a hidden compartment

On March 6, 2009 during a routine driver and equipment inspection
at a weigh station on US-60, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers
inspected a tractor trailer hauling a car transport trailer with eight
cars.  Troopers got assistance from a canine unit after they became
suspicious of the vehicles.  The canine alerted to two cars, a 1995
Toyota and a 1997 Mercedes-Benz.  In the Toyota troopers found
an empty hidden compartment in the cargo area.  In the
Mercedes-Benz troopers found a hidden compartment with 26 kilos
of cocaine.  After an investigation it was believed that the driver of
the truck was not involved and had no knowledge of the drugs.
