Pair from Texas arrested in Darlington County, SC with 8 Kilos of CocainePosted on January 28, 2012
On Saturday night, January 28, 2012, Darlington County Drug Interdiction Deputies arrested a man and woman with eight kilograms of cocaine. The man was identified as 49 year old Jorge Cota of Dallas, TX and the female was identified as 38 year old Angela Bond of New Caney, TX. The pair were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 20 in Darlington County, SC. A drug canine dog alerted to the odor of drugs in the suspects' vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a hidden compartment which contained a duffel bag with eight bricks of cocaine.
Cota and Bond were arrested for drug trafficking and trasnported to the Darlington County Detention Center. The wholsale value of eight kilograms of cocaine in South Carolina is approximately $240,000.
