Customs Seized 27 Lbs of CocainePosted on February 5, 2014
27 pounds of cocaine were seized by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Officer, coming through the Mariposa port of entry in Nogales, Arizona.
Officer randomly picked a Ford sedan, driven by a 50 year old, male, for further inspection. A drug sniffing K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics near the front dash of the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, officers located 10 packages of cocaine in a hidden compartment in the dashboard. The cocaine has an estimated value of $243,000.
The Noglas, Arizona resident was charged with trafficking cocaine.
