Long Beach Police in California Arrested Subject with 36 Kilos of Cocaine

On February 17, 2014, officers with the North Division Directed Enforcement team seized 36 kilos of cocaine in California.

The proactive officers stopped 28 year old, Hildefonso Angulo, driving in the 6900 block of Atlantic Ave. for a traffic violation. Officers described Angulo as acting “unusually nervous.” Since Angulo didn’t have a driver’s license, the officer called for a tow truck.

During the inventory search of the vehicle, officers located suspicious packaging material, similar to packaging material used to package large quantities of drugs.

The officers’ suspicions grew to be accurate once they executed a search warrant at Angulo’s residence located at 1100 block of E. 72nd Street in Long Beach. It was there, 36 kilos of cocaine and three pounds of methamphetamine were located. A handgun, a stolen vehicle, and $3,000 in cash were also discovered.

Angulo is currently being held at the Long Beach Jail on a $1 million bail.
