Over 24 Pounds of Cocaine Seized in Eagle Pass, TXPosted on April 3, 2014
On Thursday, April 3, 2014, U.S. Border Patrol agents at the Eagle Pass South Border Patrol Station conducted an immigration inspection of a 2002 Ford Sport Trac. A canine sniff alerted to the presence of narcotics and the vehicle was searched.
The passenger-side door panel was found to contain 10 bundles of cocaine wrapped in tape. The bundles weighed 24.31 pounds, with an estimated street valued of more than $700,000.
The Drug Enforcement Administration took over the case from there.
