On the evening of Thursday, August 21, 2014, U.S. Border Patrol agents followed a trail of suspicious footprints across the Rio Grande Valley Sector of Sullivan City, Texas. This led to the discovery of four abandoned backpacks. Each bag was found to contain varying amounts of cocaine, U.S. dollars, and Mexican pesos, and cocaine. The cocaine weighed in at a total of 1.2 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $90,000. The cash totaled more than $650,000.
