On January 20, 2014 an Illinois State Police Sergeant from the Chicago area conducted a traffic stop on Route 30 in Matteson, IL.  After discovering that the driver did not have a valid driver's license, the trooper directed the occupants to exit the vehicle.  During an inventory search of the vehicle, the trooper noticed items which were related to drug trafficking.  During this time a person claiming to be a relative arrived in another vehicle.  Both vehicles were eventually searched.  In one of the vehicles a hidden compartment was found which contained $75,100 in bundled money.  All subjects in both vehicles denied knowing about the money and were released without criminal charges.
