Heroin Discovered in Traveler’s Shoes
Posted on April 23, 2014On the morning of Wednesday, April 23, 2014, Border Patrol agents at the Indio Station in Salton City, California, referred a white 1993 Toyota Camry for further inspection.
It was found that the driver, a 49-year-old male, was providing his 20-year-old male passenger with an unlicensed taxi ride. Additional investigation revealed that the passenger was carrying a total of 2.04 pounds of heroin inside his shoes. The estimated street value for this find is $20,400.
Both men were taken into custody and handed over to the Drug Enforcement Administration along with the vehicle and narcotics.
