On September 6, 2007, approximately 9:40 a.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up truck traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 at the 203-mile marker in St. Charles County for following another vehicle too close. Consent to search the vehicle was obtained by the trooper and approximately 80 pounds of marijuana was located in a toolbox in the bed of the truck.
The driver, David M. Moore, 25, of Ashland, KY, and the passenger Joshua M. Taaca-Moore, 19, of San Diego, CA, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Further investigation resulted in a third arrest in Ashland, KY.
The charges for which the above subjects are accused are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
