The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau seized 4,100 lbs of Marijuana

On May 3, 2008 Officers of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau of the DPS stopped a commercial vehicle for not properly displaying the license plate on I-17. When searching the vehicle with the help of a Canine, five pallets were found containing 184 bundles of marijuana. The pallets where hidden to the front of the load hidden behind 20 pallets of boxes containing Styrofoam plates. Each bundle of weed weighed around 20 -25 pounds. The total amount of drugs seized was 4,100 pounds of marijuana. The trailer was in route from Tucson to Philadelphia. The driver Denzil O. McFarlane was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana for sale.
