14 lbs of Marijuana seized during a routine traffic stopPosted on March 7, 2009
On March 7, 2009 an Arizona DPS officer stopped a vehicle for improper display of license plate on I-10. While speaking with the two people in the car the officer noticed a strong smell of marijuana and the strange behavior of the driver and passenger of the car. When the officer searched the vehicle with the help of a Canine unit, officer found a large duffel bag with 14 pounds of hydroponic marijuana. The marijuana was packaged in various plastic bags and separate glass jars that were believed to be samples for buyers. The driver and John Conniff age 49 and his wife Michelle Conniff age 47, were arrested and received several drug charges.
