522.9 pounds of marijuana found during an immigration searchPosted on March 4, 2009
On March 4, 2009 Border Patrol agents at the Laredo North Station made an immigrating inspection on a driver of a Ford pickup truck hauling a flat bed trailer. When searching the vehicle a border patrol canine alerted to a toolbox mounted on the front of the trailer. When agents searched the toolbox they found 11 bundles of marijuana weighing 522.9 pounds. The vehicle, driver and the drugs were sent to Immigration and Customs enforcement.
