350 lbs of marijuana seized in 93 Ford Pickup truckPosted on January 29, 2009
On January 29, 2009 an Arizona Department of Public Safety Canine Officer attempted to stop a 1993 Ford pickup truck that had committed several traffic violations on Valencia Boulevard. The vehicle failed to stop so the officer continued to follow the vehicle until the truck stopped and three subjects fled on foot. The officer apprehended the driver and a Pima Community College Police Department officer that was in the area apprehended the second subject. When searching the vehicle officers found 350 pounds of marijuana. The driver Santos F. Traslavina, 65 years old, and passenger Alfredo Madrigal, 35 years old, were arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana, transportation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale.
