Hiker Finds Outdoor Grow in Clark County, NVPosted on July 25, 2012
Hikers often find many interesting sights when exploring nature. One such hiker in Clark County, Nevada found a very interesting site when they discovered an outdoor marijuana grow operation consisting of more than 11,000 marijuana plants in Wallace Canyon. The concerned hiker notified law enforcement and the local HITDA Drug Task Force eradicated the mature marijuana plants which ranged from two to three feet in height. The marijuana plants were growing on four different plots of land at about the 8,400 foot level.
Authorities estimated that over 11,000 pounds of marijuana could have been produced from these plants once they would have been harvested and that the value could have reached over ten million dollars.
