Marijuana trafficker arrested in Rockford, IllinoisPosted on February 18, 2013
On February 16, 2013 Winnebago County Sheriff Deputies were in the area of Bauer Drive in Machesney Park, Illinois on an un-related investigation. During this same time, deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the house at 3026 Bauer Drive. Deputies then noticed Ryan Novak inside of the house with an axe in his hand and he started to close the blinds. The deputies feared that Novak was going to destroy possible evidence and forced entry into the residence to detain Novak. A search of the house was later conducted and officials found 15 pounds of processed marijuana. In addition, officials found over 100 marijuana plants.
The 36 year old Novak was arrested and transportd to jail. Novak was charged with violating the cannabis control act.
