Over 200 Pounds of Marijuana Seized by CBP

On Saturday, June 14, 2014, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the Port of Douglas in Douglas, Arizona, referred a Chevrolet SUV for further inspection. A positive canine alert led the agents to uncover over 214 pounds of marijuana compacted inside the vehicle’s tires and hood. The estimated street value of this find is $107,000.

The driver, a 39-year-old female Mexican national was taken into custody and handed over to Homeland Security Investigations. Her narcotics and vehicle were seized.
