$370K of Methamphetamine Seized in Arizona

On Sunday, February 23, 2014, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Nogales, Arizona, randomly selected a Chrysler van at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry.

Following an alert by canine, the vehicle was searched and found to have 10 packages of methamphetamine concealed in the rear sliding-door panels. The packages contained almost 24 pounds of meth, worth approximately $370,000.

The driver, 33-year-old Marcos Abel Espinoza-Beltran of Mexico, was arrested. Both his vehicle and the narcotics were seized.
