Meth Found Hidden in Intake Manifold
Posted on August 6, 2014On Wednesday, August 6, 2014, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of San Luis in Arizona referred a Mercury sedan for further inspection.
A canine sniff yielded a positive alert for narcotics along the vehicle’s engine compartment. A pursuant search of the engine’s intake manifold uncovered a 6 pound package of methamphetamine. The estimated value of this find is almost $18,000.
The 31-year-old driver was taken into custody and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. His narcotics and Mercury were seized as evidence.
