Over $1.5 Million in Cocaine and Methamphetamine Seized in TexasPosted on February 25, 2014
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested an 18-year-old female from Pharr, Texas, following a search of her Ford Taurus at the Pharr International Bridge on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Hidden inside the vehicle, officers discovered 15 packages of cocaine and 11 packages of methamphetamine.
The cocaine, which weighed in at 37.86 pounds, has an estimated street value of $1,212,000. The methamphetamine, which weighed in at 16.71 pounds, has an estimated street value of $535,000.
Both the narcotics and the Ford Taurus were seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The female driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents to further investigate the incident.
