Over 37 Pounds of Methamphetamine Seized in Falfurrias, TX

On Wednesday, April 2, 2014, U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley Sector uncovered 37 pounds of methamphetamine during an immigration inspection of a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

After a canine sniff alerted to the vehicle, agents conducted a full search and located 15 bundles of methamphetamine concealed inside a custom-made compartment within the truck’s rear seat. The estimated street value of this find is more than $1.2 million.

The methamphetamine and the truck were seized. The driver was taken into custody and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
