Hugo Garza Medina was sentenced to over 11 years in prison for transporting Marijuana.

Hugo Garza Medina has been sentenced for trafficking and
extraction of Marijuana and is also attributed for being a leader of
one of the cells of the Gulf Cartel. The Attorney General office took
in account all the evidence that was brought forth by the Public
Ministry agent and sentenced Hugo Garza Medina (a.k.a Hugo
Baldomero Medina Garza, Baldomero Medina Garza, El Gordo
Medina, El Rey de los Trailers, the King of the Trailers or El Señor
de los Trailers) to a term of 11 years, 6 months and 140 days.

Medina Garza was caught on  June 20th,1990 transporting 10
kilograms of Marijuana between “El Huizachal” and “El Refugio”
which are part of the Municipality of Matamoros, Tamaulipas and
was in route toward the United States. He is also being attributed for
being a leader of one of the cells of the Gulf Cartel, in the state of
Tamaulipas, Mexico.
